Morinox Apple Sugar Bowl and Decorative Object in the Style of Ettore Sottsass

Striking Italian apple-shaped sugar bowl by Morinox accompanied by a matching decorative apple object, both crafted from smoked glass and polished stainless steel. With their sculptural spherical forms, reflective surfaces and playful postmodern character, these pieces strongly evoke the aesthetic of the iconic “Mela” designs associated with Ettore Sottsass. The combination of dark tinted glass, mirror-polished metal and elegant stylized stems creates a sophisticated contrast that reflects the bold experimentation of Italian design from the late twentieth century. Equally suitable as functional tableware and decorative objects, this rare matching pair makes an eye-catching addition to a bar cart, dining setting, sideboard or curated design collection. Both pieces are presented in very good vintage condition with only minor signs of age-related wear.
