Hand Chair Surrealist Sculptural Seat (1970s Style)
€299,00
A bold and whimsical sculptural chair in the shape of a human hand, inspired by the iconic Hand Chair designed by Pedro Friedeberg, Mexico, circa 1960s–1970s. This piece blurs the line between furniture and art, with its surrealist form and finely carved details that mimic the palm, fingers, and wrist of a human hand. Crafted from solid wood with a warm, polished finish, the chair features a rounded base and upright fingers that serve as both backrest and armrests. Its origin is likely Latin America or Southeast Asia (exact provenance unknown). The chair is in vintage condition with visible age-related cracks in the wood, particularly around the seat and base. These do not affect the structural integrity or functionality of the chair. It remains sturdy and suitable for everyday use, while retaining its sculptural charm.
Dimensions: 75cm h, 36cm w, 47cm d, seating heigt appr 34cm.
